G’day, I’m Chris Martin. Australian – yes, lead singer moonlightling as a web designer / developer – no.

I am, however, the technical director and a founding partner of Clearmedia, a creative digital agency offering boutique custom web solutions operating out of Melbourne.

I am a self taught coder (php/sql/etc) who has taken a particular liking to the extensibility and ease of the WordPress platform for website CMS solutions, and like so many others, find it hard now to put together a website without the inclusion of some piece of  jQuery somewhere. I am therefore, as you would imagine, a great fan of the open-source community and am aiming to make this blog my little contribution to the greater good.

This blog is a culmination of many frustrated days trying to remember how I have overcome problems in the past. Rather than spend hours scouring through forums and other blogs all over again, I decided to stick all of those solutions I have found, whether sourced or created, in one place.

So I guess this is more of a personal repository for quick reference than an expose on my sometimes questionable skills as a developer!

Above all else, I post the contents contained herein,  in the hope that one day it may help someone else flailing in the murky waters of the www, with a client breathing down their neck, and to pay tribute to those that provided the solutions in the first place.
